Sudarshana Churna is an all-purpose Ayurvedic formula. All sorts of fevers can be typically treated with it. The main ingredient of Sudarshana Churna is Kirata Tikta, a powerful antiviral and antimicrobial plant. Ginger, Turmeric, Guduchi, Triphala, Pepper, Kachuram, and numerous more herbs having antipyretic and immunomodulatory activities are also included in Sudarshana Churna.

Dosage and Instructions

A decoction made from 2 to 4 grams of Sudarshana Churna can be taken thrice daily. It is recommended that children can consume 500 mg to 2g of it twice a day with lukewarm water or a little quantity of honey.

TRIPHALA (Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Amalaki)

Triphala has rich antioxidant herbal formulation and possesses diverse beneficial properties.
It shows immunomodulatory properties and helps in improving the body’s defense system. Triphala also possesses strong anti-diabetic, antilipidemic, anti-mutagenic and antioxidant activity.

CHIRATA (Swertia chirayita)

This bitter-tasting herb is known by different names in different parts of the world. In Sanskrit its is known by the names Kirataka, Kiratatiktaka etc. It is very much helpful in treating various indications which includes Jvara (useful in fever), Kustha (treats skin disorders), Deepana (enhances stomach fire), Pachana (helps in digestion), Rochana (stimulates appetite), Anulomana (improves breathing), and Prameha (manages diabetes). It also act as good Krimihara (relieves intestinal worms), and treats Pandu (anemia).

PIPPALI (Piper longum)

Because of its broad medicinal characteristics, Pippali (long pepper) is widely used in various preparations in Ayurveda. It is one among the best herbs to manage indigestion, diabetes, shields against infections, aids healthy weight loss, and helpful in menstrual problems.

GUDUCHI (Tinospora cordifolia)

Guduchi effectively manages fever occurring due to malaria, dengue and flu. It is also known to improve platelet levels in the blood. The anti-inflammatory property of Guduchi makes it valuable in respiratory problems such as recurrent cold and cough, asthma and tonsil infection.

SHUNTI (Zingiber officinale)

Shunti is also called Vishva Bhejshaja due its many uses. It is a natural pain reliever that is used in Ayurveda to treat a variety of pains, including headaches, menstrual pain, joint pain, and abdominal colic. It also balances Vata dosha and keeps indigestion at bay.

TURMERIC (Curcuma longa)
