DUSPARSHA (Tragia involucrata)
It is commonly known as Indian stinging nettle. Involucrata leaf has been traditionally used to treat inflammation, wounds, eczema, scabies, and skin infections. It has also been found to be effective in treating pain and bronchitis. The involucrata root has been traditionally used for the treatment of high fever.
ERANDA (Ricinus communis)
It is commonly known as the Castor oil plant. Since ancient times castor seed and castor oil are used to cure rheumatism, worm infestation, and abdominal disorders. It relieves constipation also. External application of the oil relieves boils and other skin disorders. Eranda oil is applied over hair and eyebrows for strengthening and growth.
VASA (Adathoda vasica)
Vasa is commonly known as Malabar nut. A decoction of the leaves of Vasa may be used to help with cough and other symptoms of colds. A paste of the leaves is applied to relieve inflammation, pain, rheumatoid arthritis, and skin disorders.
ASHWAGANDHA (Withania somnifera)

MUSTA (Cyperus rotundus)
It is commonly known as Common Nutsedge. It is effective in gastritis, and irritable bowel syndrome. Due to its breast purification property, it is used during postpartum care to avoid indigestion to the child. The paste is applied over the breast and washed after some time.
DEVADARU (Cedrus deodara)
External application of a paste of Deodar helps to relieve pain, swelling, inflammation, cleansing infected wounds and skin disorders associated with pain and itching. Himalayan Cedar oil is also used in headache, arthritis pain, and infested wounds, externally. Devadaru helps to relieve cough by removing mucus from the respiratory tract due to its expectorant property.
VACHA (Acorus calamus)
Vacha is an ancient herb having various health benefits. The name “Vacha” in Sanskrit means speaking clearly because this herb stimulates intelligence and expression. In Ayurveda, Vacha is known as a rejuvenating herb because of its effect on the nervous system. It is bitter in taste and is used in the dried form. According to Ayurveda, taking Vacha along with honey daily helps manage speech disorders due to its Vata balancing and Medhya (intelligence) properties.
SHUNTI (Zingiber officinale)
It’s the dry form of ginger. It is an effective drug to relieve from flatulence and bloating of the abdomen. Dry ginger powder helps in the digestion and elimination of toxins. It acts as an anti-diarrheal and anti dysenteric. Shunti can be chewed in case of bloating of the abdomen gives sudden relief.
AMRUTHA (Tinospora cordifolia)
The extract is used in fever and rhinitis conditions. It’s having tonic, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, anti-arthritic, anti-lepritic, anti-allergic, and anti-diabetic properties. The powder of Tinospora is given to children by mixing with lukewarm water and in pregnant women also.
PUNARNAVA (Boerhaavia diffusa)
The word Punarnava means that which rejuvenates. Mainly used in painful as well as oedematous conditions. The properties include immunomodulation, hepatoprotection (for liver cells), anticancer activity, antidiabetic activity, anti-inflammation, and diuresis. This useful in treating cancer, jaundice, dyspepsia, inflammation, ophthalmic (eye-related problems) enlargement of the spleen, abdominal pain, and as an anti-stress agent.
RASNA (Alpinia galanga)
It is commonly called Blue Ginger or Great Galangal. The rhizome is used for medicinal purposes. Rich in antioxidants and may boost male fertility and reduce inflammation and pain. It may even protect against infections and certain types of cancer. A small piece of the rhizome is chewed in the mouth to relieve the bad odor.
SAHACHARA (Nilgirianthus ciliatus)
It is widely used in South India in various preparations and is considered an important Vatahara drug. Used in the treatment of Vata disorders, leprosy, to control blood sugar, urinal problems, jaundice, excess menses etc.
