DADIMA (Punica granatum)

Commonly known as pomegranate, it has anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory components, which is effective in the prevention and treatment of cancer and other chronic and infectious diseases. It is an well-recommended fruit for anemic person.

KHADIRA (Acacia catechu)

Commonly known as Karingal, it is used for stomach problems such as diarrhea, swelling of the colon (colitis), and indigestion. It is also used orally for pain from osteoarthritis and topically to treat pain, bleeding, and swelling (inflammation).

NIMBA (Azardirachta indica)

It is commonly known as Neem tree. Neem is used for various skin diseases, eye disorders, ulcers, gum diseases, for birth control. It is also used as a mosquito repellent. Neem leaf paste is used as a home remedy for the skin.

VAYAMBU (Acorus calamus)

Commonly known as sweet flag, the powder is rubbed with honey on the tongue of babies. It is effective for digestive ailments such as flatulence, loss of appetite, abdominal dull pain, and worms. The powder of sweet flag given with lukewarm saltwater induces vomiting and relieves phlegm while easing coughs and asthma.

SHUNTI (Zingiber officinale)

It is the dry form of ginger. Effective drug to relieve flatulence and bloating of the abdomen. Dry ginger powder helps in the digestion and elimination of toxins. It acts as an anti-diarrheal and anti dysenteric.

HARITAKI (Terminalia chebula)

Commonly-known as the Indian walnut tree, it is one among the Triphala. The important drug in the various Ayurvedic preparations. It holds high significance for treating diarrhea, dysentery, vision problems, obesity, gingivitis, gout, and asthma.

AMALAKI (Embilica officinalis)

Commonly known as Indian gooseberry, it is one among the Triphala. Rich with Vitamin C, Amalaki is known for its anti-aging property and as an immunity booster. Commonly used for maintaining cholesterol levels, heartburn, and diabetic conditions. Easily available in the kitchen as a side dish.

VIBHITAKI (Terminalia bellerica)

Commonly known as Bahera, it is one among the Triphala. The fruit of the plant is used. The drug is used in the preparation of many Rasayanas as well used in obesity, maintaining blood sugar level, enhances digestion, relieves constipation, etc.

PIPPALI (Piper longum)

Commonly called Indian long pepper, it is effective in different respiratory tract diseases.  It provides relief from cough and congestion and also helps in removing phlegm deposits from the respiratory tract. Improves appetite and digestion, as well as to treat stomachache, heartburn, indigestion, intestinal gas, diarrhea, and cholera.

MARICHA (Piper nigrum)

It is commonly known as black pepper. The common ingredient in the kitchen. Its properties include Antidepressant, Antifungal, Antidiarrhoeal, Anti-inflammatory, Antimutagenic, Anti-metastatic activity. Crushed pepper with honey relieves cold and steam inhalation along with eucalyptus reduces chest congestion.
