Description
Manjishtadi Thailam is a medicated oil described in the Ayurvedic classical text book Sahasrayogam .
This medicated oil is a combination of several herbs like Manjishta(Rubia cordifolia), Rakthachandana(Santalum album) , Mustha (Cyperus rotundus),Triphala ((fruits of three plants Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica, Emblica officinalis) etc in a base of sesame oil.
Manjishtadi Tailam is commonly used for external application over the head and body.
Manjishtadi Tailam is beneficial in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of eyes.
Application of Manjishtadi Thailam over head provides sleep, due to its intense ‘pitta-samana’ action.
The oil helps to promote hair growth. Keeps your skin healthy and free from infections.
The formulation helps to reduce burning sensation of the body. Mitigates the heat and viscidity of aggravated Pitta.

MANJISHTA(Rubia Cordifolia)

SARIVA (Hemidesmus indicus)
It possess cooling effect.
MUSTA (Cyperus rotundus)
Phytochemical and pharmacological studies reveal that Musta has antiandrogenic, anti-bacterial, hepato protective, cardio protective, anti oxidant, anti convulsant etc.
KATUKA( Picrorhiza kurroa).
It is a hepatoprotective, antipyretic and antitoxic.
DARUHARIDRA (Berberis aristata)
It is a good anti-inflammatory drug. It is good for skin.
RAKTACHANDANA (Pterocarpus santalinus)-
The plant shows anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic properties. It is also good for skin.
TRIPHALA
Triphala contains fruits of three plants Hareethaki (Terminalia chebula),Vibheethaki (Terminalia bellirica)and Amalaki (Emblica officinalis). Triphala shows laxative, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antibacterial, antimutagenic properties.
