Description
‘Virechana’ or therapeutic purgation is the most effective way to pacify ‘Pitta’ dosha . Deranged pitta dosha manifests in the body as excessive body heat and burning sensation, chronic inflammations of the skin and gut, and an irritable bowel. Mentally the person is anxious and prone to mental stress.
Hrudya virechana is an avaleha combination that induces safe purgation on a regular basis. It combines a number of laxative and pitta pacifying drugs in a palatable base of jaggery. It lends bulk to feces, softens it and stimulates voiding.
Hrudya virechana is a combination of drugs that soothes the heat of pitta and dryness of vata in the the body.

DRAKSHA (Vitis vinifera)
Commonly known as grapes. It is used in both dry and wet form. Its juice is given to children mixing with water it relieves constipation. Regular application of Grapes in the form of a face pack protects skin from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It is used in the preparation of asavas and arishtas.
PUNARNAVA( Boerhaavia diffusa)
Punarnava, a potent ayurvedic has immense health benefits and has been in use since ancient times in treating a host of health anomalies. Commonly known as Hogweed, Sterling, Tarvine in English, Mukarati Kirei in Tamil, Raktakunda, and Shothaghni in Sanskrit, it goes by the botanical name Boerhavia diffusa. SHUNTI (Zingiber officinale )

MARICHA (Piper nigrum)
Commonly known as black pepper. Common ingredient at the kitchen. Its properties include Antidepressant, Antifungal, Anti diarrhoeal, Anti inflammatory, Anti mutagenic, Anti-metastatic activity. Crushed pepper with honey relieves cold and steam inhalation along with eucalyptus reduces chest congestion.
PIPPALI (Piper longum)
Pippali is known as “tridoshic” herb as it suits all body types. Thus regular consumption of pippali in suggested quantity can help you to immune your body to quiet an extent. Pippali has Anti-microbial, Anti-inflammatory activity. Consumption of pippali is said to exhibit anti spasmodic action and hypoglycaemic effect which is believed to lower blood sugar level. It is also reported to be antagonist in respiratory depression. Also due to its cooling post-digestive effect consumption of pippali is considered as a safe and effective option to avoid all sorts of digestive disorders.
ELA(Elettaria cardamomum)
Commonly called Elaichi, it has very good antiibacterial and anfungal properties. It helps in reducing inflammation. Cardamom is often given the epithet ‘queen of spices’ as it is used to flavor food in many countries. In addition, the herb has several health benefits. The German Commission E has indicated the use of Cardamom in dyspepsia and as a cholagogue, which promotes bile discharge from the system. The herb is also helpful in treating gum and teeth infections, throat congestion and kidney disorders
NAGAKESARA(Messua ferra)
Ironwood Tree possesses many therapeutic benefits. It is a hemostatic that stops bleeding and is also an anti-inflammatory. The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India recommends the use of the plant in gout, hemorrhagic disorders and diseases of the urinary bladder.

Commonly known as turpeth. It is useful for easy purgation. Trivrit can be considered the best owing to its properties like strength, piercing and pungent nature. It is thus very useful in losing body weight. It is useful to get relief from worm infestation, constipation and healing infected wounds. Paste of trivrit consumed in the early morning for purgation.
